My name is Mindy, I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Cincinnati working both in-person as well as telehealth as a mental health therapist.  I obtained my license of social work in 2018, and my master’s of social work in 2016 after attending Case Western Reserve University. My focus during graduate school was adult mental health. Since becoming licensed, I have worked in various settings including in-home, private practice, and telehealth. I have worked with children, adults with disabilities, and adults with a broad range of mental health disorders. During my internship, I gained experience in DBT, as the groups utilized both CBT and DBT modalities. I have several years working in outpatient private practice and have learned that each client has a different story, and I try my best to meet clients where they are and create individualized plans with each client.  

I have experience with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, mood disorders, self-esteem, anger, emotion regulating, ADHD, OCD, childhood abuse, trauma, marriage issues and infidelity. I prefer to individualize sessions based on client preference. Some clients prefer a more structured session with psycho-education and learning different skills that they can apply to their struggles, others prefer a listening ear and more “talk therapy,” but most of my clients have a preference for a balance of both. Some frequent skills that I have found works best with clients are mindfulness, thought replacement, reframing, wise-mind, gaining self-awareness through use of the ABC model and identifying cognitive distortions, building self-esteem, setting and maintaining boundaries, practicing assertive communication, and radical acceptance. I understand that life can be very challenging, and each person has unique struggles. I will try my best to help guide you through any struggles that you may be suffering from.
